About the role

  • Apply your skills and experience in Project Management to lead Improvement Projects which upgrade equipment at our customers facilities across North America
  • Main contact with the customer for the whole scope, including Valmet’s external partners
  • Establish and maintain a good proactive customer relationship throughout the project
  • Define the project organization and identify the need for resources, which are provided by the line organization
  • Perform project and product risk and opportunity management within the project
  • Responsibility for project main schedule and coordination of schedules
  • Handling of warranty issues during the warranty period
  • Communicate project feedback and summarize lessons learned throughout the project

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Pulp and Paper Engineering or a closely related field required
  • Prefer experience with participating in or leading capital equipment projects consisting of multi-cultural and multi-discipline teams
  • Minimum of 48 months of industry-related experience is essential
  • Travel will be required – estimated at 25% - up to 50%
