About the role
- Support customers in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Valmet automation systems (PLC, DCS, HMI)
- Participate in commissioning, retrofits, and system upgrades on board vessels
- Collaborate with senior engineers and internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction
- Work on-site (onboard vessels) and in-office on the development and testing of automation applications
- Provide service support for major cruise operators and other marine customers
Requirements
- Recent graduate in Automation, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent education)
- Basic understanding of automation systems (PLC, DCS, HMI)
- Problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn
- Good command of English (Italian is a plus)
- Willingness to travel (up to 65% of working days), including onboard ships and international assignments
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop in a dynamic, international environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and learn from experienced colleagues
