About the role
- Translate Valmet business requirements into data requirements and to build new data products.
- Collaborate with different business stakeholders and functions to fulfill their complex data, analytics, and reporting requirements.
- Help build and maintain our global reporting - and data products.
- Participate as a data expert in building custom made volume related planning and reporting solution on top of Azure platform.
- Planning and leading complex end to end data warehousing and analytics projects, including overall responsibility of project deliveries, scope, and timelines.
- Lead or participate in requirement gathering, data discovery, data modelling, data warehouse and report development together with our vendors.
- Hands-on design, validation, training and testing.
- Technical data lead (internal) in development project.
- Hands-on support, maintenance and continuous development of the current reporting and analytics content.
- Hands-on development of pipelines and reporting models.
Requirements
- At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Over 5 years of experience working in data warehousing, analytics and reporting development projects.
- Full working proficiency with SQL databases and queries.
- Experience of working with IT, business, and development partner representatives.
- Ability to work independently and co-operate with different stakeholders.
- Solid communication skills in English.
- Keen interest in following industry trends and best practices.
- Experience in any of these is considered as a benefit: Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with Python, PySpark.
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
- Finnish language skills/Ability to work and communicate in Finnish.
