About the role
- Responsible for accurate code assignment for physician services for reimbursement, research and compliance.
- Identifies and applies diagnoses code, CPT codes and modifiers as appropriately supported by the medical record in accordance with federal regulations.
- Ensures billing discrepancies are corrected.
Requirements
- Certified Pro Fee Coder with CPC Credentials (RHIT or RHIA). Must be certified through AHIMA/AAPC.
- Must have exceptional communication skills
- Holds active CPC credential
- Minimum of 2 years professional coding experience.
- Proficient in ICD 10, CPT and HCPCS coding.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Understanding of Reimbursement methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- 3-5 years’ experience coding Pro Fee accounts
