About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage with DISA stakeholders, end users, and mission owners to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
  • Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications for software developers
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and business context
  • Conduct requirements walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions
  • Assist in developing workflows, process maps, and data models to support solution design
  • Validate delivered functionality against requirements through reviews, demonstrations, and testing support
  • Maintain and manage requirements documentation, traceability matrices, and change control processes
  • Support Agile ceremonies and help drive continuous improvement in requirements processes
  • Act as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and business processes within the DISA environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (at minimum)
  • 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or similar role supporting software development projects
  • Experience working on DoD or DISA programs strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS, or similar.
