About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with DISA stakeholders, end users, and mission owners to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed specifications for software developers
- Work closely with developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and business context
- Conduct requirements walkthroughs, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions
- Assist in developing workflows, process maps, and data models to support solution design
- Validate delivered functionality against requirements through reviews, demonstrations, and testing support
- Maintain and manage requirements documentation, traceability matrices, and change control processes
- Support Agile ceremonies and help drive continuous improvement in requirements processes
- Act as a subject matter expert on system capabilities and business processes within the DISA environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (at minimum)
- 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, or similar role supporting software development projects
- Experience working on DoD or DISA programs strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS, or similar.
