About the role
- Receive and resolve escalated incidents from Tier 1 and Tier 2 within SLA targets.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across: Network: Cisco DNAC, SolarWinds, Meraki, VeloCloud SD-WAN, Wireshark, Voice/Video: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) for Polycom and telecom systems.
- Datacenter: Dell OpenManage, Microsoft Exchange Server Profile Analyzer, NetBackup, Symantic Command Central, Tivoli.
- Applications/Databases: Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Grid Control, Microsoft SQL, SCCM.
- End-User Performance: Aternity monitoring.
- Cloud: AWS infrastructure and services, compute, and storage resources in AWS.
- Lead root cause analysis for high-severity incidents, documenting findings and corrective actions.
- Use Splunk for log analysis, event correlation, and proactive detection of anomalies across on-premises and AWS environments.
- Assist in engineering projects, upgrades, and integrations of enterprise monitoring and management tools.
- Implement AIOps and automation initiatives to improve incident detection, correlation, and resolution.
- Collaborate with the Performance & Analytics team to analyze trends and identify proactive remediation opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT operations experience in a large enterprise, cloud, or federal environment.
- Active DHS or USCIS suitability clearance is preferred.
- Proven experience troubleshooting advanced network issues and performing full-path analysis across WAN/LAN and AWS cloud environments.
- Service Management experience, with familiarity in ITIL and/or CMMI frameworks.
- Expertise in enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Riverbed, New Relic, SCOM, Splunk).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and associated monitoring/troubleshooting practices.
- Experience with database and application monitoring (Oracle, SCCM, New Relic).
- Skilled in capacity and performance monitoring for enterprise and cloud systems.
- Strong trouble ticket management skills (ServiceNow preferred).
- Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic demands of a 24/7 operations environment.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional ( CCNP ), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional ( AWS Professional ).
