About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- ensure that legal requirements and other requirements of Valeo Group are identified, established and implemented
- ensure that the management system contributes to continuous improvement in performance
- organize and manage all internal and external risks
- check that safety and security equipment are in compliance with requirements
- carry out risk analysis and monitor regulatory survey
- establish site Health, Safety, Security and Environment operation procedures and oversee their application
- carry out inspections and internal audits, make recommendations and specify corresponding actions
- implement and monitor action relating to the handling of any non-compliance revealed by the inspections
- ensure continuously that all buildings, process, equipment, machines, installations, all devices, materials and products of the site present the minimum hazard
- perform risk assessments for all HSE fields on the site
- set up manuals, procedures, instructions, visual standards and signs
- ensure an audit that safety tools, safety standards are adapted, known, understood, applied, and enforced by management
- communicate internally and externally on HSE issues
- develop manager Safety Skills using Safety First, Risk Hunting, Safety Talks and Safety Briefing tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years safety (basic industry environmental knowledge preferred)
- OSHA workplace requirements and general industry standards knowledge
- Knowledge of OSHA injury reporting
- OSHA 30 or 40 hour industry training
- Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety and Environmental majors, or related field.
