About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As a Senior Mendix Consultant, you combine the role of consultant with that of an application developer.
- You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary project or DevOps team with end-to-end responsibility for your applications and delivery.
- You facilitate workshops to uncover client needs and translate them into high-impact IT solutions – from mobile apps to workflow systems and data-driven platforms.
- Throughout the process, you apply your platform knowledge and technical expertise to ensure quality and scalability.
- You’ll increasingly help design solutions that leverage AI, integrations and smart automation to streamline business processes and unlock new value.
- You also support pre-sales efforts and coach junior consultants on their path to becoming experts.
- You take ownership of complex challenges, contribute to design decisions, and help shape long-term platform architecture.
- Designing, developing and testing innovative Mendix solutions in an agile way.
- Coordinating with clients and end-users on specifications, design and final product.
- Taking a leading role in workshops, proof-of-concepts, innovative development projects or DevOps teams.
- Training and coaching of business consultants and junior developers in working with and applying the Mendix Platform.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A completed Bachelor’s, Master’s or technical HBO degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics or a related field;
- At least 2 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year as a low-code specialist, application developer or (IT) consultant;
- Nice to have: Certification in and/or hands-on experience with one or more major low-code platforms such as Mendix, OutSystems, Salesforce or Microsoft Power Platform
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Located in The Netherlands
