About the role
- Taking responsibility for general accounting (IFRS and FAS) for Vaisala Group’s parent company Vaisala Oyj.
- Preparing period-end activities, analyzing and explaining the content in P&L and balance sheet ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Preparing annual financial statements (FAS), corporate income tax calculations and returns, VAT reporting and statistical reporting.
- Taking responsibility over statutory compliance for Vaisala Oyj in accordance with Finnish Accounting Standards.
- Driving ongoing and future improvement projects to enhance processes, quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Solid accounting experience as a chief accountant or similar role in e.g. publicly listed companies, accountancy companies or from large Finnish subsidiaries of global companies.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge on application of general accounting principles, strong knowledge on Finnish Accounting Standards and basic understanding on IFRS.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive approach, analytical mindset and attention to details
- Fluent English and Finnish language skills, as both languages are needed to communicate with our international colleagues, authorities in Finland and abroad.
- Experience in SAP is considered as an asset.
