About the role
- Site Lead FSR to support the operational integration of the direct and indirect fires systems (i.e. FGM-148 Javelin, TPQ-50 and TPQ-53 radars, Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), M109 Howitzers, mortars, and related simulators at fire direction centers and Latvian Mechanized Brigade, Latvian National Guard (Zemessardze), JHQ, and MoD)
- Training across the DOTMLPF-P range from tactical employment to operation level planning in support of Latvian Armed forces training.
- The FSR should be a SME in the CAM planning and integration and possess experience in employing various types of fires systems (direct and indirect) with other elements of combat power (mission command, movement, and maneuver, intelligence, sustainment, protection) in a complementary and reinforcing manner to achieve decisive effects over the enemy.
Requirements
- Prior service as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army or equivalent with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Combat Arms MOS (Infantry, Armor, Artillery, Special Forces)
- Graduate of Career Level School or ANOC
- Ten years of Military Experience in Combined Arms and Maneuver
- Service Level Fire Support Coordination Course
- Knowledge and expertise with FGM 148 Javelin, Mortars, and Fire Direction Centers
- Knowledge of Counter Battery Radar (TPQ-50 and TPQ-53 Radars)
- Knowledge of AFATDS
- Knowledge of the M109 self-propelled howitzer
- Knowledge of Planning, Employment Integration of direct and indirect fire systems
- DOTMLPF-P analysis
- Tactical and Operational Planning
- Knowledge of Battlespace Operating Systems (maneuver, fires, intelligence, logistics, information, force protection, command and control)
- Knowledge of Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
- Fires FSR and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training and support, encompassing a variety of complex military and civilian related subjects, in both classroom and field environments
