About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the end-to-end member scheduling process for imaging services, including referrals, appointments, and communications
- Collect and verify member demographic information, insurance eligibility, and benefit coverage
- Coordinate imaging appointments with provider facilities based on member needs, availability, and client requirements
- Serve as the primary member contact and provide appointment updates
- Facilitate communication among members, imaging providers, clients, and internal departments
- Educate members on the Valenz Imaging program, scheduling process, and available imaging options
- Confirm appointments and document scheduling activities in applicable systems
- Monitor scheduling progress, identify barriers to timely care, and coordinate resolutions
- Build and maintain professional relationships with imaging providers and clients
- Assist with claims-related activities and administrative support functions
- Support growth and utilization of the Valenz Imaging program
- Document member interactions, scheduling activities, and case information in internal systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare scheduling, patient access, medical office operations, customer service, or related healthcare support required
- Experience verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, or prior authorizations preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with multiple priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and positive member experiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple cases, and meet service level expectations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, appointment scheduling, and documentation
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information according to HIPAA and company policies
- Ability to identify scheduling barriers, resolve routine issues, and escalate complex concerns
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Teams
- Ability to learn and use scheduling platforms, EHR systems, CRM tools, and other healthcare software
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
