VP, Product & Commercial Strategy
Vālenz® HealthVP of Product and Commercial Strategy at Valenz, responsible for growth and strategic direction of Valenz Bluebook healthcare platform. Driving measurable client value and product revenue.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the overall performance, growth, and financial health of Valenz Bluebook, with direct accountability for contribution margin, revenue growth, and forecast accuracy.
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that increase adoption, engagement, savings, and long-term client value.
- Lead performance management by tracking and acting on key indicators including utilization, conversion, savings, rewards engagement, and member satisfaction.
- Use data, experimentation, and market insight to continuously evolve the product and strengthen its role within the broader Valenz ecosystem.
- Own and drive go-to-market strategy for Valenz Bluebook, partnering with Marketing and Member Engagement on positioning, messaging, launch execution, and ongoing optimization to maximize adoption, awareness, and revenue performance.
- Partner with Revenue and Sales as a product evangelist, directly supporting key deals, renewals, and client conversations by clearly articulating product value, differentiation, and performance.
- Serve as a C-suite-facing product leader, confidently presenting product strategy, performance, and value to clients, partners, and executive stakeholders.
- Partner with Technology to deliver roadmap initiatives on time, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and positioned for successful market adoption.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute partnerships or integrations that expand capabilities, differentiation, and revenue potential.
- Partner with Finance on pricing strategy, margin management, and forecasting, and with Legal on contract structure and governance.
- Serve as the executive owner and internal authority for Valenz Bluebook, aligning cross-functional teams around priorities, outcomes, and performance expectations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare analytics, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive product leadership experience within healthcare technology, cost transparency, consumer engagement, care navigation, or managed care environments.
- A results-oriented mindset with a bias toward action, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated success leading go-to-market strategy and execution, with strong marketing partnership and the ability to confidently engage and influence senior client stakeholders.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and influence, including deep partnership with Sales, Marketing, and executive stakeholders to drive both product strategy and commercial success.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into clear product and business decisions.
- Proven track record leading products that drive measurable adoption, engagement, and value (utilization, conversion, savings, satisfaction, or equivalent outcomes).
- History of ownership in product performance, including accountability for revenue, margin, pricing, and forecast accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to balance member experience and commercial outcomes, making disciplined, data-informed tradeoffs that support adoption, savings, revenue growth, and long-term sustainability.
