About the role
- Design, implement and maintain microservices and APIs in Java
- Architect and implement resilient REST/gRPC APIs
- Drive a culture of testing by writing and reviewing tests
- Profile and optimize services for latency and throughput
- Ensure services are instrumented with logging, metrics and distributed tracing
- Propose and implement improvements to architecture and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
- 5+ years building backend services in Java
- Deep knowledge of Java 8+ features
- Strong understanding of system design and distributed systems
- Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful and gRPC APIs
- Experience deploying services to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
