About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Develop scalable, reliable systems using Go, Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes
  • Own deployments end-to-end within the team’s Kubernetes namespaces
  • Improve lead routing, partner onboarding, and Partner business-management experiences
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in autonomous teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Senior backend-focused software engineering experience
  • Proven fluency with Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes
  • Solid experience building distributed systems, including concurrency and event-driven architectures
  • Strong understanding of system resilience, observability, uptime, SLAs, and progressive degradation
  • Ability to deliver end-to-end solutions from design through build, deployment, and ongoing support
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling, Terraform, and modern cloud workflows
  • Familiarity with Kafka and database migrations, such as CockroachDB to RDS, is a plus
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in an agile, iterative environment while delivering continuous feature improvements
  • Experience mentoring mid-level engineers and modelling engineering best practices
  • Comfort working in autonomous, product-focused teams
  • Hands-on experience with AI development tools
  • Experience with Go is preferred but not essential
  • Successful candidates are subject to a background check
