  • Strategically plan, allocate, and coordinate resources across multiple design centers and vendor teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, project managers, and design engineers to ensure resource optimization, forecasting accuracy, and on-time, high-quality project delivery.
  • Lead the design and implementation of fiber optic networks using IQGEO, GIS (ArcGIS), and AutoCAD, including topology layout, fiber splice plans, route mapping, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure all designs comply with NESC pole standards, permitting requirements, right-of-way (ROW) regulations, and client specifications.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes to validate design integrity, constructability, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Lead training, development, and process refinement initiatives for onshore and offshore design teams across Europe, India, and the Philippines.
  • Establish and document SOPs, checklists, and training programs aligned with fiber optics standards (FTTH, FTTx, PON).
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization efforts across global design centers to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for client meetings, audits, and team training; travel will decrease over time as operations mature.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in OSP design and engineering.
  • Proven proficiency with IQGEO, GIS, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of fiber network architecture (aerial, underground, buried) and telecom infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of NESC standards, permitting processes, ROW, and safety compliance.
  • Experience managing offshore teams and working across time zones and cultures.
  • Skilled in resource planning, team leadership, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid passport with no travel restrictions to Europe, India, and the Philippines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, decreasing to quarterly as operations stabilize.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
  • **Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Experience with FTTH/FTTx deployments, XGS-PON systems, or network optimization tools.
  • Familiarity with utility coordination, conduit systems, and manhole/handhole design.
  • Certifications such as FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) or PMP.
  • Background in cost estimation, QA/QC oversight, and sustainable telecom design.
Benefits
  • - Competitive weekly pay and compensation package;
  • - Remote flexibility with required travel for site visits and training;
  • - Health Insurance plans (health, dental, vision);
  • - Whole Life Insurance;
