About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, create, and close new business opportunities across fintech, digital assets, and enterprise verticals.
- Build and manage relationships with key industry players, from financial institutions to technology providers.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate market needs into product direction.
- Lead outbound initiatives, market research, and competitive analyses to support Utila’s growth strategy.
- Represent Utila at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings.
- Drive the full BD lifecycle - from prospecting to negotiation to long-term relationship management.
- Track KPIs, pipeline progress, and market insights for leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Sales in fintech, banking, AML, cyber, or digital assets.
- Strong understanding of the financial ecosystem, fintech platforms, payment systems, exchanges, custodians, or enterprise security.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, build strategic pipelines, and drive deals to closure.
- High ownership mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Proven ability to engage and communicate with internal C-level executives.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% of the year, with monthly travel required.
- Advantage: experience with crypto/digital asset infrastructure, blockchain products, or financial platforms.
