About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate, prepare complete scope and report on personal and commercial lines property losses.
- Position requires extensive personal contact with insureds, their legal representatives and customer agents.
- Occasional contact with law enforcement officials may be required.
- Operate on an independent basis with limited supervision in handling/settling a high volume of claims within assigned authority.
- Follow estimating guidelines and adhere to field adjuster turnaround times.
- In the case of a Catastrophe event, you may deployed to the field to inspect losses for a defined period of time to facilitate progressive adjudication during the event. You would be eligible for CAT pay during this deployment.
- Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school graduate required, 4 year college degree preferred.
- 4-7 years of adjusting personal and commercial lines claims preferred.
- 3-5 years of field adjuster experience including writing estimates preferred.
- Licensing Required to obtain your license(s) as an adjuster in the state(s) in which you are assigned to adjust claims. Licensing must be obtained within the timeframe set forth by the Company and must be maintained as needed throughout your employment.
