Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply extensive product, technical, and application expertise to promote Gypsum Division products
  • Establish strong relationships with gypsum specialty dealers and contractors
  • Collaborate effectively with contractor specialty representatives
  • Maximize growth in sales volume and gross profit
  • Build relationships to increase preference for USG Gypsum products
  • Manage complaint process effectively
  • Use Salesforce.com to manage customer information and track jobs
  • Monitor and report competitive activity
  • Assist in answering technical questions regarding Gypsum products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field
  • Two years’ minimum outside sales experience in the building industry or an aligned business
  • Basic working knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices
  • Previous outside sales experience with a proven track record of growth
  • Computer proficiency required in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to travel approximately up to 50%
