About the role
- Serve in dual roles as an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Specialist and Statistical Analyst.
- Support compliance with research ethics and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advanced statistical expertise for data analysis and reporting.
- Work with the Assistant Dean for Medical Student Research and the research team on day-to-day activities.
- Ensure compliance with human subjects’ research regulations, manage datasets, and perform complex analyses.
- Assist with manuscripts and grant proposals, train new staff, and maintain quality assurance programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Mathematics, Public Health, or a related field and at least two years of research experience; OR
- Master’s degree in one of the same fields with a minimum of one year of research experience.
- Certification in IRB administration (e.g., CIP).
- Experience with clinical, observational research, meta-analysis, and systematic reviews.
- Proficiency in multiple statistical software packages and data visualization tools.
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
