About the role
- Plans and implements treatment programs for individual patients according to physical therapy principles
- Develops, implements, monitors, and revises treatment programs for assigned patients
- Records progress notes and communicates patient progress with team members
- Confers with physician on patient's progress
- Maintains equipment and orders supplies; performs related clerical work
- Provides direct clinical services to families and children within the Early Steps program
- Participates in education and training to medical students and pediatric residents
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field such as anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, or physics
- Graduate from a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
- Florida State Licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Must be able to drive to locations in Polk and Eastern Hillsborough County
- Spanish and Bilingual Preferred
- Knowledge of Florida Early Steps or Early Intervention System of Care Preferred
