About the role
- play a pivotal role within the CFO Data Delivery and Automation team
- driving the development and delivery of financial data assets supporting USAA’s strategic goals
- perform in-depth analysis, prototype solutions, and build strategies leading to automation and scalable data products
- collaborating closely with IT to transform financial and operational data into robust data assets
- analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources
- identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets
- create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs
- develop advanced knowledge to influence relevant data, information, and application architecture decisions
- ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science or other business-related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience
- 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry of responsibility
- Experience identifying and implementing innovative approaches to address business problems and solutions
- Experience developing business deliverables that leverage business intelligence platforms, data management platforms, or SQL-based languages (Tableau, Business Objects, Snowflake, Hadoop, Netezza, NoSQL, ANSI SQL, or related)
- Proven ability to build business knowledge through meaningful partnerships
- Demonstrated advanced communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to embed intuitive story telling within business intelligence solutions
