Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for valuing routine new securities and completing securities transactions data entry
  • Seeks guidance for more complex security setups
  • Corrects security master data when errors are reported
  • Diagnoses and investigates system and data problems and determines root cause of errors
  • Works with peers to resolve
  • Corrects trade data problems and/or notifies Compliance, traders, and portfolio managers of any compliance violations
  • Acquires and applies maturing knowledge of the investment business, products, and processes to better assist senior peers with ad hoc tasks
  • Participates in the development and implementation of team initiatives as a team resource
  • Resolves issues and identifies appropriate issues for escalation
  • Performs more remedial tasks such as doing simple quality checks or staging work for analysis
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • 2 years of experience in investment operations or middle office functions within the financial services industry
  • Foundational level of experience in the investment management industry
  • Knowledge of investment control testing or audits
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and Outlook
