About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for Life or Annuity reserving, reporting, or forecasting
  • Perform actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength
  • Utilize actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management
  • Review laws and regulations for compliance; provide recommendations for improvements
  • Run models, generate reports, and present detailed analysis to Actuarial Leadership
  • Develop exhibits and reports to explain proposals/findings for stakeholders
  • Identify critical assumptions to monitor and suggest remedies for unfavorable trends
  • Advise management on issues and serve as a resource for team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
  • 4 years relevant actuarial or analytical experience and attainment of Fellow within the Society of Actuaries; OR 8 years relevant actuarial experience and attainment of Associate within the Society of Actuaries
  • Experience performing complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex actuarial analysis and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
