About the role
- Lead agile teams assigned to developing solutions for implementing the Bank’s business objectives aligned to the department and company strategy.
- Responsible for creating and implementing policies and processes for delivering agile methodologies that will meet business results and are aligned to strategic business objectives and required outcomes.
- Accountable for Team-of-Teams level Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), as well as team-level OKRs; empowers teams within the Bank to deliver business outcomes against their OKRs.
- Manage project assignments and prioritize work for Agile teams.
- Oversee deliverables to ensure they are progressing in a timely manner and are aligned to objectives.
- Make data driven decisions as needed related to funding and resource allocation.
- Lead positive team dynamics, encourage collaboration and drive achievement of goals and OKRs.
- Ensure that assigned Bank projects are completed within financial regulatory and compliance policies and that risk issues identified are mitigated as required.
- Apply expert knowledge and remove escalated impediments to the team’s success and assist in conflict resolution, issue and dependency management.
- Coordinate, coach, support and guide leaders and teams in Agile principles, values and practices.
- Proactively communicate project status updates to all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Build consensus with alliances across the organization.
- Share information about the portfolio’s output and direction with other Team of Team Leads and stakeholders to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Build and oversee a team dedicated to excellence through recruiting, developing, retaining, coaching, guiding, performance management and managerial activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in product development, process improvement, project delivery, or business/requirements analysis to include 2 years of that experience within a financial services organization.
- Minimum 3 years’ direct team leadership experience or leading large matrixed, cross-functional teams.
- Experience in marketing, strategy, digital, process, or user experience design within a financial organization.
- Agile Scrum best practices and experienced being a product owner for a scrum team.
- Knowledge and experience of multiple technical software delivery methodologies such as Agile, and SAFe.
- Experience analyzing business requirements, process flows and use cases to identify opportunities to streamline business processes in accordance with risk management framework and regulatory requirements.
- Comprehensive experience in applicable banking regulatory and compliance policies.
