About the role

  • Keep abreast of industry regulatory requirements in order to identify and implement the best practices in compliance with HMDA and ECOA and changing mortgage regulations.
  • Communicate and confirm with consumers the final disposition of the consumers loan application in conformity with ECOA, HMDA, and all other applicable regulations.
  • Issue required notices for adverse action and notice of incomplete applications, in accordance with ECOA.
  • Monitor and track loan level data to ensure that all pieces of required HMDA data are present.
  • Assist with administration of Company’s vendor management oversight program.
  • Any other compliance related ad-hoc assignments as required for Company, agency and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Broad understanding of residential mortgage loans and familiarity with mortgage loan products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to mortgage lending and other mortgage related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret rules, regulations and guidelines and apply the interpretation to business processes.
  • Positive attitude, planning and execution, strong work ethic.
  • AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • BS degree preferred.
  • One year residential mortgage experience, knowledge of DAS and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Encompass Database software.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
