About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the material estimating function across the organization.
  • Drive centralization of people and process from a local to a national scale.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership and operations to establish service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality outputs, and continuously refine workflows to maximize accuracy, speed, cost effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Own and continuously improve workflows to enhance speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Establish accountability for performance, accuracy, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with enterprise peers to share best practices and advance standardized, best-in-class solutions.
  • Lead and support people development, succession planning, and performance management.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, mathematics, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in residential construction, design, and/or estimating environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi‑location or regional teams.
  • Proven track record of process standardization, operational improvement, and change leadership.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales organizations in a service‑driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction systems, design, and estimating processes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance standardization and local market needs.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and accountability‑driven management skills.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities across a regional footprint.
  • High level of initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with estimating and design platforms such as SAGE Estimator (PlanSwift), SAGE 300/500, or similar systems preferred.
