About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designs residential construction drawings, including roof and floor systems and produces layouts.
Discusses changes and corrections with engineers, homeowners, architects and contractors prior to and during construction.
Collaborates with the outside sales team to design and present jobs.
Prepares residential layouts.
Performs job site inspections.
Determines special notes to append contracts.
Resolves architectural and design discrepancies.
Assists in the shipping department.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School or GED required.
Associate's Degree in civil, architectural or design related field may be required.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
1 year of drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry required.
Proficient technical writing skills.
Excellent salesmanship and communication skills.
Proficient in AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office.
