About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze data from multiple sources and use it with industry knowledge to create pricing proposals for internal sales and operations teams
Maintain databases of current pricing opportunities, past submissions, awards, customer and carrier contract rates, and shipping lane details
Perform pricing calculations using established data inputs to determine baseline costs
Monitor current and future market trends and pricing strategies to perform confidence checks of data
Organize and prioritize pricing requests to meet deadlines
Prepare and submit final pricing requests to customers
Create and analyze business intelligence reports
Participate in pricing discussions with sales, operations, and other key stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Multiple Charts, and Arrays
Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and correct errors
Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and think quickly
Strong oral and written communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/logistics, economics, finance or related field, or equivalent experience required
0–1 years of experience in transportation pricing, carrier sales or procurement preferred
Proficiency in Tableau preferred
