About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze data from multiple sources and use it with industry knowledge to create pricing proposals for internal sales and operations teams
  • Maintain databases of current pricing opportunities, past submissions, awards, customer and carrier contract rates, and shipping lane details
  • Perform pricing calculations using established data inputs to determine baseline costs
  • Monitor current and future market trends and pricing strategies to perform confidence checks of data
  • Organize and prioritize pricing requests to meet deadlines
  • Prepare and submit final pricing requests to customers
  • Create and analyze business intelligence reports
  • Participate in pricing discussions with sales, operations, and other key stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Multiple Charts, and Arrays
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and correct errors
  • Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and think quickly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/logistics, economics, finance or related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 0–1 years of experience in transportation pricing, carrier sales or procurement preferred
  • Proficiency in Tableau preferred
