About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise, plan, and set objectives for assigned Account Executives and Account Managers
  • Monitor and assess staff performance against key performance indicators
  • Ensure successful management of customer relationships
  • Drive sales growth, item and category penetration, and profitability
  • Support, develop, and coach assigned staff
  • Participate in critical sales calls as needed including business reviews
  • Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of the Sales team and relevant systems
  • Develop and implement sales procedures as necessary
  • Coordinate activities with other departments and functions to meet customer needs
  • Monitor performance metrics and assess progress against annual operating plan targets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing preferred
  • A minimum of five years of sales and distribution experience required (foodservice industry or related preferred)
  • Experience in restaurant operations is desirable
  • Experience using quantitative & qualitative research data will be helpful
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Customer service and presentation abilities
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required
