About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model.
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
  • Measure success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business.
  • Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor the sales approach to individual customers.
  • Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
  • Manage deliveries and troubleshoot problems during the order process.
  • Know market conditions, product innovations, and share information with customers.
  • Drive personal motor vehicle for regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
  • Problem-solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
  • Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
  • Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
