About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model.
- Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
- Measure success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business.
- Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor the sales approach to individual customers.
- Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
- Manage deliveries and troubleshoot problems during the order process.
- Know market conditions, product innovations, and share information with customers.
- Drive personal motor vehicle for regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem-solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
