Territory Manager
US FoodsTerritory Manager driving sales and building customer relationships for food distribution at US Foods. Collaborating with teams to enhance customer success and managing territory effectively.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Be the Customer Champion : Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model.
- Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
- Drive Sales Success: Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business.
- Effective time and territory management is critical.
- Team Based Selling : Work collaboratively with our Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
- Lead with Insight: Develop new business by identifying prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases.
- Delivery Resolution : Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
