About the role
- Develop and maintain project management best practices, methodologies, standards, tools, and templates
- Manage PMO and project resources to ensure that resources are not being over-consumed by any given project or projects
- Maintain the PMO’s Operational Process Assets (OPAs)
- Work alongside USF Practices and departments to identify, direct, and vet project opportunities
- Organize and assist with incoming project requests
- Work with the requester to facilitate the submission of a business case and project charter
- Act as a resource to USF Practices and departmental leadership
- Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close healthcare and IT related projects
- Ensure that projects are appropriately resourced and timelines accurately assessed and communicated
- Form unique project teams to meet the deliverables acceptance criteria and quality
- Collaborate closely with USF Practices, IT, and other teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and Technology/Process certifications such as ITIL, CAPM, PMP
- Minimum 5 years project management experience
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- Ability to quickly take comprehensive and detailed notes required for every meeting
- Ability to understand, create, and maintain visual process flow documentation
- Familiarity with TQM diagrams or other visual data-mapping models a must
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote team building
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building
- Strong computer proficiency including proficiency with MS Office Suite and visual data-mapping software
