About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Installs, configures, and maintains network hardware, software, and Azure components including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, Virtual WAN (VWAN), firmware updates, and cabling.
Performs routine backups, system updates, patching, and upgrades to maintain network integrity and security.
Monitors network performance, system alerts, and security logs to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
Diagnoses and resolves network problems when alerted by users or automated monitoring systems.
Maintains accurate records of network configurations, procedures, and activities for compliance and troubleshooting purposes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
CompTIA Network+ certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, and network protocols.
Experience with Azure networking (VWAN, VPN Gateway, NSGs).
Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments preferred.
Knowledge of scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python) preferred.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and SIEM platforms preferred.
