About the role
- Provides advanced level expertise to prepare financial analysis, metrics and reports and complete special projects as required
- Prepares financial analyses, including trending, productivity metrics, revenue cycle, and other ad hoc projects, as well as financial reports and graphic presentations
- Reviews existing methods for extracting, analyzing, and presenting data through project completion
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the company’s financial information system, including the ability to write financial reports and make inquiries for data
- Responds to financial surveys on a monthly, quarterly, annual, or ad hoc basis
- Handles confidential material on a regular basis and protects confidentiality of such information
- Organizes individual work schedule and establishes priorities for completion of projects within guidelines from management
- Provides additional back up for payroll monthly reconciliations
- Performs additional duties, as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Three years of analytical experience with a master’s degree OR 8 years of analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree required
- Three to five years healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Proficient PC skills, specifically in Excel and Access required
- Two years of experience with SQL and VBA programming preferred
- C# experience is a plus
- Superior analytical abilities, including the ability to identify issues, problems, and solutions
- Superior mathematical aptitude, including the ability to build formulas for performing analysis
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently and under deadlines, demonstrating solid professional judgment
- Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and systems preferred
- Knowledge of office management practices and accounting procedures
- Strong computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to complete physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation (occasional standing/walking, frequent sitting, frequent hand/finger movement, use office equipment)
