About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for packaging and finished goods.
Track open POs and follow up with suppliers to confirm ship dates, resolve delays, and expedite when needed.
Maintain accurate lead times, MOQs, and cost data to support planning and budgeting.
Reconcile discrepancies between POs, item receipts, and vendor invoices.
Support cost updates and item/vendor record maintenance.
Monitor inventory levels and consumption/sales to ensure adequate supply for production and customer demand.
Identify potential stockouts, delays, or excess inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Provide supply constraints and replenishment insights to support demand planning.
Prepare weekly supply status updates for internal teams.
Assist with cycle counts, adjustments, and root‑cause analysis of variances.
Communicate regularly with suppliers, packaging vendors, and co‑manufacturers to confirm availability, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Track vendor performance metrics such as on‑time delivery, scrap, and responsiveness.
Support onboarding of new suppliers by gathering documentation and validating data.
Escalate supply risks early and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
Coordinate inbound shipments with logistics and warehouse teams (delivery windows, packing lists, documentation).
Support freight booking and communication with 3PLs as needed.
Help resolve receiving discrepancies, damaged goods claims, and inventory mismatches.
Provide supply‑related inputs for production scheduling and co‑manufacturer planning.
Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data in the ERP system.
Build or update basic reports and trackers to support visibility and planning.

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–5 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, or operations—ideally within CPG.
Strong understanding of component lead times, packaging complexity, and co‑manufacturing workflows.
Excellent attention to detail and comfort managing large volumes of data.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for planning and reporting.
Experience with 3PLs, freight partners, or co‑manufacturers is a plus.
NetSuite experience is highly desirable but not a deal breaker.
