About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the day-to-day administration of the organization's self-funded medical, dental, vision, and wellness programs.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for third-party administrators (TPA), pharmacy benefit managers (PBM), and other benefits vendors.
  • Monitor healthcare claims utilization and recommend cost-containment strategies.
  • Oversee stop-loss coverage, reimbursements, renewals, and vendor performance.
  • Develop and implement wellness and population health initiatives.
  • Administer the organization's compensation philosophy and salary structures.
  • Conduct compensation analyses and recommend salary adjustments and incentive programs.
  • Configure benefit plans and optimize HRIS functionality to eliminate manual processes.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Partner with Finance to review monthly premium equivalents and budgeting.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive experience leading compensation and benefits programs.
  • Five (5) or more years of direct experience managing self-funded medical plans.
  • Demonstrated experience developing compensation strategies, salary structures, market pricing, and pay equity initiatives.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, reporting, financial modeling, and data analysis.
  • Experience administering HRIS/payroll systems, preferably Paycom.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
