Referrals Coordinator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process incoming referrals from Fibro/eHealthy, LeadingReach, and Phreesia platforms.
- Receive, review, accept, process, schedule, and close referrals accurately and efficiently.
- Schedule patient appointments within the NextGen EMR system according to provider preferences and scheduling guidelines.
- Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance information in the NextGen EMR system.
- Communicate internally by sending messages and tasks through the NextGen EMR system.
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service when interacting with patients.
- Follow established scheduling protocols to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately.
- Assist with inbound phone calls during periods of high call volume.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous call center or referral scheduling experience preferred
- Basic computer and EMR navigation skills
