About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create and drive the digital merchandising strategy with the Director of Ecommerce
  • Utilize site analytics and product performance data to optimize demand and conversion performance
  • Partner with Buying to support investments through marketing messages and site prioritization
  • Manage marketing campaign product selections, site experiences, and product messaging across the homepage and site
  • Define and drive the digital messaging roadmap for the broader business
  • Bridge Marketing and Ecommerce teams by translating brand stories and commercial priorities into homepage and site-wide strategies
  • Lead divisionally focused team members to ensure a unified digital merchandising point of view
  • Develop and manage site-wide and divisional digital strategy roadmaps
  • Lead customer-first site merchandising and optimize product prioritization
  • Analyze performance data and inventory health to identify merchandising pivots and messaging opportunities
  • Own onsite search relevancy, automated product sorting, and navigation taxonomy
  • Partner with Optimization on Product Detail Page strategy to improve conversion and storytelling
  • Collaborate with Buying teams on commercial opportunities and business objectives
  • Partner with Marketing on product selection for Email, Social, and SMS channels
  • Lead homepage, discovery page, and content experience strategies
  • Create curated trend groups for site messaging and outbound channels
  • Manage the end-to-end site content experience and on-site placement briefing process
  • Collaborate with Digital Product/UX on site feature enhancements
  • Partner with SEO and Copy teams on organic search growth targets
  • Partner with personalization teams on segmented recommendations and experiences
  • Establish processes for seasonal launch execution
  • Conduct regular site audits covering product selection, placement, and navigation
  • Contribute merchandising hypotheses to the A/B testing and optimization roadmap
  • Monitor industry best practices, competitor activity, and emerging eCommerce trends
  • Foster innovation and continuous learning within the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of Digital Merchandising experience
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to make timely decisions, anticipate problems, and provide creative solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using web content management systems such as SFCC and Shopify Plus
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Adobe Analytics, or similar
  • Experience with optimization tools for site search and product ranking
  • Pro-active with new ideas and a healthy curiosity
  • Buying experience is a plus
  • Related bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must be able to be in the Philadelphia office a minimum of 3 days weekly
