About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maximize sales and profit through allocation and business analysis to achieve financial objectives
  • Meet or exceed sales and inventory goals
  • Allocate for one or more product classes
  • Manage store sales and inventory plans for assigned merchandise categories
  • Analyze sales-to-stock ratios and manage product flow, including new purchase order and back-stock allocations
  • Ensure the right product is delivered to stores at the right time
  • Identify opportunities and risks and recognize trends by product category and attribute at individual-store and store-group levels
  • Partner with planning on size and color selling analysis to place future size and color buys
  • Collaborate with planning and buying to connect current store performance to upcoming buys
  • Prepare for and participate in monthly reforecast, strategy, buy meetings, and division roll
  • Communicate with the distribution center as necessary
  • Partner with the visual team and participate in weekly turnover meetings
  • Communicate weekly with district managers about current business
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop systems knowledge

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years allocation experience
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills measuring key retail metrics
  • Strong capacity for multi-tasking with an operational mindset
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy completing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Open to constructive feedback
