About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare samples for shooting days by steaming, hanging, organizing, lint rolling, and removing visible tags
- Lay out accessories, shoes, and additional styling needs before each set
- Maintain fitting-room and on-set organization by removing, rehanging, and retagging items
- Assist the lead stylist in dressing models for each look
- Refine technical pinning and styling skills with lead stylists
- Record cross-sell information for “Shop the Look” data entry on the Free People website
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio, styling wardrobe area, sets, and stylist area
- Collaborate with on-figure and flat styling, merchandising, and studio sample coordinating teams
- Create trend presentations for the styling team
- Research styling techniques, fashion trends, and outfitting
- Partner with lead stylists to implement styling techniques on set
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in groups
- Genuine passion for on-figure styling
- Interest in current and/or upcoming fashion trends
- Desire to expand the Free People brand through e-commerce imagery and styling
- Strong work ethic
- Creative innovation
- Innate organizational ability
- Keen attention to detail
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Prior styling or studio experience, particularly in e-commerce, retail, or fashion, appreciated but not required
- Strong desire to grow and learn within the studio space
- Pursuing a degree in Fashion, Textiles, Design, Merchandising, or a related field, appreciated but not required
- Submit a Concept Board in preferred 8.5 x 11 PDF format with the application
- Concept Board must focus on FW 2027 and include aspirational styling visuals plus 1–2 influencers who fit the brand
