About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • An Equipment Operator is responsible for fulfilling warehouse orders using warehousing equipment such as powered industrial trucks (PIT) like forklifts, order pickers, or pallet drivers.
  • They may also need to support their team on the warehouse floor, working together to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently.
  • Prioritize safety and compliance standards while performing job duties and operating warehousing equipment.
  • Able to respectfully work in a team environment, in addition to working independently.
  • Function well in a multi-task environment; comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Able to operate department-specific technology to execute job tasks i.e. RF scanners or desktop computers and touchscreens to efficiently track the location of products.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned by operational leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school degree or GED a plus
  • Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards
  • Warehousing or manufacturing experience a plus
  • Forklift or heavy machinery experience a plus
  • Able to operate department-specific technology to execute job tasks i.e. RF scanners or desktop computers and touchscreens
  • Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required
  • Able to stand and walk for considerable distance throughout a shift
  • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
  • Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights to 50 pounds
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires coordinated movements.
