About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Database management: Maintain, optimize, and enhance our existing data infrastructure ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Data transformation: Develop and optimize ETL processes, ensuring accurate and timely data transformation.
- SQL: Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Data Literacy: Understand business context and support analysts/stakeholders in crafting and standardizing source-of-truth data models/visualizations
- Best Practices: Promote best practices for data management and ensure adherence to data governance standards.
- Documentation: Document technical requirements, specifications, and solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 4 years' experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or similar role, with a proven track record of managing complex data projects
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with dbt and git
- 4+ years experience with SQL, with demonstrated expertise in writing and optimizing complex queries; familiarity with BigQuery will be advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing ETL/Orchestration tools such as Airflow, Mage, or Prefect.
- A robust understanding of database architecture and data warehousing, with the ability to design and implement effective data storage solutions.
- Proficiency in Python or another data-centric programming language
- Bonus: experience with Looker, Fivetran, or other data integration platforms
- Bonus: interest in the fashion industry, or a passion for fashion
