About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with operational business partners to report on prior month expenses and project future month expenses pertaining to North America’s Fulfillment/Distribution Centers and Contact Center
  • Complete variance analysis against budget, forecast, prior year and trended results to provide appropriate operational and financial explanations
  • Support Supply Chain Accounting team with accruals and expense reclasses as needed
  • Provide weekly labor barometers to Logistics and Customer Service leaders to support the business hitting monthly budget targets
  • Monitor labor KPI’s to support financial variance reporting
  • Own the build out of templates, calculation of expense and summarization for multi-level reviews within the Supply Chain organization for Logistics and Customer Service expense for the following fiscal year
  • Drive meaningful conversations with business partners to gather changes to the business and audit data to be implemented in the budget
  • Monitor cost/KPI trends across various departments, warehouses and cost categories to identify cost-saving opportunities or business risks
  • Support return on investment calculations for proposed capital expenditures
  • Ensure Finance processes are set up efficiently and reporting is consistent between all Supply Chain teams where similar data is used.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
  • CPA or MBA a plus (not required)
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance (Supply Chain, Operations Finance, or Distribution preferred)
  • Understanding of month-end close processes including accrual accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, advanced formulas, modeling)
  • Experience with financial systems/ERPs and reporting tools a plus (e.g., Oracle EBS/Hyperion, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement.
