About the role

  • Design, build, implement, and support enterprise network systems across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center environments
  • Manage enterprise firewall, load balancer, and VPN infrastructure across internet-facing, DMZ, and internal segments
  • Architect and maintain scalable, resilient network solutions aligned with business growth and retail operations needs

  • Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineering teams to integrate network workflows into CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain deep expertise in network security design — stateful firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and authentication systems
  • Ensure consistent security posture across multi-vendor environments, wireless networks, and remote/branch locations
  • Support audit, compliance, and change control processes with automation and documentation
  • Partner with IT leadership to shape the long-term network roadmap, with a focus on SD-WAN, automation maturity, and cloud connectivity
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level network staff
  • Translate complex technical concepts for both business and engineering stakeholders

  • Hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms (e.g., Cisco Viptela, Meraki, VeloCloud/VMware, Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN)
  • Proficiency with Ansible for network automation; solid Python programming skills with experience using libraries such as Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, or pyATS
  • Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA/FTD), VPN (IPsec, SSL), and zero-trust network concepts
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus, Juniper EX, Juniper MX, Juniper MIST, Cisco WLC, Arista VeloCloud, Palo Alto Firewalls, A10 Load Balancers, Infoblox, Clearpass, PRTG, Pure SANs, Brocade Fiber Channel.
