About the role

  • Translate new ideas for upcoming seasons and presentations by sketching, Ai and/or mocking.
  • Maintain an active role in the weekly Design Flow Meetings.
  • Take notes and manage follow up communication on all outstanding issues in collaboration with Designer.
  • Support seasonal development calendar in partnership with designer/buyers/technical designers/production.
  • Execute specific design development projects as assigned by Designer and manage development and execution of trim and artwork packages.
  • Set up spec sheets for all private label product & assist Design Lead with market developments & follow-up communication as needed.
  • Partner with PD on the status of styles in development daily to ensure product execution meets design specifications and are on track in style development process.
  • Assist in completing technical sketches for domestic and overseas programs, set up spec sheets for all private label product & assist Designer with market developments as well as follow-up communication as needed.
  • Prepare development packages and participate in follow up communication related to each package.
  • Review incoming garments with Designer and PD partners to ensure they are correct and in line with original intent as well as brand standards.
  • Assist in sample preparation for monthly sales review meetings by collaborating with Designer on innovative presentations that effectively communicate line to Buyers and Brand leaders.
  • Support in executing original design ideas through draped & sewn mocks an Ai renderings in preparation for key meetings.
  • Develop and present creative ideas that express FP Movement’s point of view in the market without being too obscure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Apparel Design or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 Years of related industry experience.
  • Design tools: Procreate, Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop), Ai is a plus but not required.
  • Sewing, draping, mocking experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate ideas and inspirations to others and to interact with Designers, Buyers and other Cross Functional partners.
  • Strong understanding of the FP Movement aesthetic, customer and brand identity.
