About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the Core Technology roadmap: Define and maintain the 3-year roadmap for foundational manufacturing processes
  • Standardize “Golden Processes”: Establish core process modules for all NPIs ensuring improvements are propagated globally
  • Build and protect IP: Identify, develop, and protect proprietary manufacturing methods for competitive advantage
  • Lead molding, encapsulation & optics excellence: Drive best-in-class optical solutions for biosignal sensing
  • Drive next-generation SMT: Own strategy for ultra-miniaturized SMT
  • Set equipment & tooling strategy: Define global “Best in Class” equipment standards
  • Deploy core experts into programs: Support project teams during critical EVT/DVT/PVT phases
  • Ensure CM site readiness: Partner with Global Supply Chain to qualify factories for high volume
  • Provide solution planning visibility: Maintain technical discussions within Manufacturing leadership
  • Act as technical anchor in Manufacturing leadership: Influence where and how to invest in new capabilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years in high-volume Consumer Electronics, Wearables, Medical Devices or Semiconductors
  • Proven leadership breadth leading multi-disciplinary teams across SMT, molding/encapsulation, coatings, optics, and automation
  • Master’s or PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field
  • Ability to balance urgent build demands with long-term process standardization and reuse
  • Experience owning strategic relationships with key equipment and process vendors
  • Comfortable working across at least three timezones in a global organization
  • Passion for moving towards core technology platforms
  • Ability to explain complex process topics clearly to technical experts and partners
