About the role

  • Develop and validate FEA models of components and assemblies using appropriate software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
  • Perform linear and non-linear static and dynamic analyses to evaluate stress, strain, and deformation under various loading conditions
  • Simulate drop test scenarios to evaluate product robustness and identify potential failure points.
  • Use FEA results to guide design optimization and improve product performance, reliability, and weight.
  • Help drive correlation of FEA results with physical test data to validate models and improve accuracy.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing FEA results and recommendations.
  • Work closely with product design engineers, mechanical engineers, and materials engineers.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and workflows to automate FEA processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as an FEA Engineer, preferably in consumer electronics, wearable devices, or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in using FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of solid mechanics principles, including stress, strain, elasticity, and plasticity.
  • Experience with linear and non-linear static and dynamic analysis.
  • Experience with model validation and correlation with test data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently
