About the role
- Develop and validate FEA models of components and assemblies using appropriate software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
- Perform linear and non-linear static and dynamic analyses to evaluate stress, strain, and deformation under various loading conditions
- Simulate drop test scenarios to evaluate product robustness and identify potential failure points.
- Use FEA results to guide design optimization and improve product performance, reliability, and weight.
- Help drive correlation of FEA results with physical test data to validate models and improve accuracy.
- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing FEA results and recommendations.
- Work closely with product design engineers, mechanical engineers, and materials engineers.
- Develop and maintain scripts and workflows to automate FEA processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as an FEA Engineer, preferably in consumer electronics, wearable devices, or a related industry.
- Proficiency in using FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
- Strong understanding of solid mechanics principles, including stress, strain, elasticity, and plasticity.
- Experience with linear and non-linear static and dynamic analysis.
- Experience with model validation and correlation with test data.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently
