About the role
- Build end-to-end features for an evaluation tooling surface: frontend, backend APIs, data models, and cloud workflows.
- Create approachable front-end experiences to define tests, run experiments, and visualize results.
- Design and maintain backend services that orchestrate evaluations, manage configurations, and expose clear, well-documented APIs.
- Operate in AWS with production-grade practices: reliability, monitoring/alerting, security, and cost consciousness.
- Partner with product and content to iterate on contents; translate ambiguous requirements into durable, ergonomic tooling.
- Champion testing best practices (unit, integration, E2E) and CI to keep quality high as the system evolves.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate evaluation workflows into release processes and day-to-day development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Solid front-end experience in TypeScript and a modern framework (e.g. React or Vue) and the ability to design clear, accessible UIs.
- Proficiency in backend development using Python, including designing and operating production APIs.
- Track record of shipping high-quality software with automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and CI.
- Collaborative working style with product, design, and cross-functional partners; strong written and verbal communication.
