About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver student experience events and programs supporting transition, orientation and belonging
- Plan, obtain approvals for, set up, pack down and evaluate student experience events and programs
- Build relationships with students, staff and University stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance student experience and campus connection
- Communicate with current and commencing students through email, social media, phone and face-to-face engagement
- Collect, analyse and report on student experience data
- Contribute to continuous improvement, operational planning and development of future initiatives
- Work with academic and professional staff, residential colleges, schools and central student services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of a bachelor degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Experience designing and coordinating projects to improve student experience in higher education or equivalent transferable skills
- Ability to work with diverse student cohorts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with students and senior staff
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative and work cooperatively and collaboratively
- Ability to analyse data, develop reports, draft documents and integrate information from varied sources accurately and promptly
- High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new programs quickly
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment
