About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver student experience events and programs supporting transition, orientation and belonging
  • Plan, obtain approvals for, set up, pack down and evaluate student experience events and programs
  • Build relationships with students, staff and University stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance student experience and campus connection
  • Communicate with current and commencing students through email, social media, phone and face-to-face engagement
  • Collect, analyse and report on student experience data
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, operational planning and development of future initiatives
  • Work with academic and professional staff, residential colleges, schools and central student services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of a bachelor degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Experience designing and coordinating projects to improve student experience in higher education or equivalent transferable skills
  • Ability to work with diverse student cohorts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with students and senior staff
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and work cooperatively and collaboratively
  • Ability to analyse data, develop reports, draft documents and integrate information from varied sources accurately and promptly
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment
