About the role
- Conduct research on experimental hypersonics topics
- Design and analyse high-speed air-breathing propulsion systems
- Support the effective supervision of graduate Defence engineers and cadets
- Provide administrative and laboratory support within the DSTG research group
Requirements
- Completed or near completion of PhD in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering
- Strong preference for experience with hypersonic test facilities
- Ability to hold at minimum an Australian NV1 security clearance
- Ability to work independently and constructively within a group
- Willingness to supervise Defence engineers and cadets
- Ability to promote and adhere to a positive safety culture
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
